Photographer and advertising and film director, Yann is also the author of three photography books, including the recent Hokkaido Is Blue, White and Gold (2023).
Self-taught and independent, his images reflect a need for travel, freedom and wandering. This state of mind is reflected in this series of photos taken at Lafite, just after the frenzy of the harvest in early autumn.
It is a return to the land of his childhood, between Gironde and Garonne, which he spent a lot of time exploring when he was younger. In the style of a major reportage, he offers us some fifty photos that he wanted to reflect what Lafite conveyed to him upon his arrival: ‘An exceptional place, linked to nature’.
He reveals the environment in which Lafite flourishes, ‘how to see man and nature walking so close, hand in hand’.
