Paolo Roversi
Born in 1947 in Ravenna, Italy, Paolo Roversi is one of the most famous fashion photographers in the world.
He likes to mix the past with the present. Working with a 20/25 camera and a Polaroid allows him to take smartly evolving shots.
“His Italian and Parisian state of mind at the same time allow him to approach elegance in two different ways, which he makes his style. A strong and soft style – poetically coloured or in well-controlled black and white.”
Using the 20/25 allows him to position himself beside the camera rather than behind, which helps him to relate better to the famous models he has photographed.
About his sensitive and delicate images, the critic Gabriel Bauret writes that “they have the elegance and courtesy of the one who makes them.”
