Views on Château Lafite Rothschild - 1999

Born in 1950 in Lourdes, Jean-Michel Fauquet embarked on a twelve-year journey to Canada where he taught photography at a university. However, it was in Paris that he settled and exhibited his work.

“His works are more like oil paintings than photographs.”

His way of seeing light and form is very personal. His printing processes, as much as his use of particular papers or supports, also make him an alchemist. Drawing, painting, sculpture and photography are all techniques that contribute to the creation of his images.
