2005, a great harvest for Bordeaux!

2005 and the two previous years will be remembered for the lack of rain throughout the Bordeaux region. The vines adapted well to the drought and the grapes were harvested in good weather conditions.

Harvesting took place from 8th to 26th September at Château L’Evangile, from 22nd September to 12th October at Château Lafite Rothschild and Duhart-Milon and continued until the end of October at Château Rieussec.

The first tastings confirm the impressions gained during the harvest. The wines are concentrated, with high alcohol levels and very rich tannins. The wine is silky, balanced and has superb potential! Overall the results should be excellent.
