Saga, Bordeaux white
Vintage 2008
2008 will be remembered as the smallest crop brought to cellars since the frost of 1991: 20% less in volume compared to the 2007 harvest which was already low. After an early bud break, vines suffered from late frosts that ruined a large part of the crop in many vineyards. Summer was cool and humid while the late summer was characterised by mild temperatures particularly in September which was hot and sunny. This led to good ripeness. The 2008 vintage should bring nice surprises in terms of quality.
Colour: Crystalline with some glints of green.
Nose: Intense, elegant with a blend between mineral notes and citrus fruit aromas (grapefruit and lime).
Palate: Well-balanced and soft, with flattering aromas and a very flavoursome and fresh finish.
