Saga Bordeaux white

Accompanied by breaded prawns

Ingredients

  • 16 large frozen raw prawns
  • 50g (2oz) flour
  • 1 egg
  • 10cl (4 fl oz) milk
  • 1 packet “OTTOGI BREAD CRUMBS” (from Asian grocery stores)
  • 1 small bottle sweet chili sauce (from Asian grocery stores)
  • Salt
  • Frying oil

For 4 persons Preparation time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 2 minutes

The recipe:

Defrost the prawns. Beat the milk and egg. Shell the prawns leaving the tails, roll them in the flour then in the milk-and-egg mixture and finally cover them with breadcrumbs. Deep-fry the prawns for 2 minutes, drain them on kitchen paper, season with salt. Serve immediately with chilli sauce.

The wine:

A fresh wine, with very acidulous notes of citrus and tropical fruit. The crunchy fried breadcrumbs together with the sweet-and-sour sauce bring out its wonderful aromas.

Serve with a young vintage of Saga Bordeaux white
