Aussières Red
Vin de pays d’Oc
Vintage 2008
The winter and spring of 2008 were very dry but fortunately, at the end of May, there was plenty of rain. Then, despite the severe overall dryness, the vegetative cycle was able to continue very favourably thanks to a few strategic showers. The Tramontana and the sea breeze followed one another through the summer, with regular sunshine and slightly below average temperatures.
Beautiful intense garnet and violet colour. The complementary nature of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah is evident in the nose, the notes of liquorice and violet blend perfectly with the red fruit and spices of the Syrah.
In the mouth the explosive full-bodied attack is very typical of a Languedoc wine. It then settles down, delicately becoming harmonious. The tannins are silky and well-rounded. The finish, full of freshness, again expresses liquorice and spices.
