Caro 2005 and Los Vascos Grande Réserve 2006
As usual, last June the results of the worldwide competitions were revealed. We had entered some of our wines (except the Bordeaux chateaux) in the main competitions. In spite of the random nature of this type of exercise, it was once again a very encouraging “harvest”, with twenty two medals - two gold, seven silver and thirteen bronze - and several other awards for our wines.
A particular tribute should be paid to Caro 2005, for its gold medal and Regional Trophy of Mendoza wines in the Decanter World Wine Awards and Los Vascos Grande Réserve 2006, for its Prestige Trophy in the Citadelles du Vin international wine competition.
Caro 2005 is a silky and very pleasant wine. The complexity of the very ripe red and black fruit, the tobacco and vanilla aromas and its minty freshness will delight your palate!
Los Vascos Grande Réserve 2006 is a wine which can be drunk now or in several years’ time. Its bouquet of fruit (black cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries and plums) structured with wonderful freshness and notes of black pepper, tobacco and cinnamon makes it a delicious wine to drink!
