Château Paradis Casseuil
History
A history linked to Château Rieussec
Château Paradis Casseuil gets its name from the combination of the registered name of the main parcel of vineyards called “Vines of Paradise” and Casseuil county. We are not sure when this utopian title was bestowed, but it is not the kind of name that one looks to change.
Château Paradis Casseuil is a former property of Château Rieussec. It underwent much of Rieussec’s troubled 20th century past. Taken under Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)’s wing in 1984, Château Paradis Casseuil then included 14 hectares of vines. In 1989, the estate grew by 9 hectares, and cellars were included in the heart of the Sainte Foy la Longue vineyard. Château Paradis Casseuil is now quickly becoming a reference for the Entre-Deux-Mers region.
