Baron de Milon

Baron de Milon comes from a selection that takes place during the blending, it has the same base as the “Grand Vin”, Château Duhart-Milon. Baron de Milon has several characteristics similar to the fine wine, but its structure is lighter and its time of ageing in barrels is shorter, which means it has lesser potential for ageing (In general, the grapes are from the youngest part of the vineyard). It must be consumed younger than its more robust counterpart.
- Grape varieties:
- Cabernet Sauvignon 55 to 60% and Merlot 40 to 45%.
- Length of ageing in oak barrels:
- 10 months in two year old barrels.
- Average annual production:
- 3,000 to 5,000 cases.
