Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) joins forces with American importer Esprit du Vin

In an increasingly consolidated market, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is drawing closer to the American importer Esprit du Vin Fine Wine Merchants (EDV) and, as from 30 December 2016, will transfer its strategic assets in Pasternak Wine Imports to its new partner.

Founded in 2010 by the Taub family, Esprit du Vin is a company dedicated to importing highly reputed French wines to America. Its clients include F. E. Trimbach, Château Greysac and Domaines Paul Mas. More recently, EDV’s portfolio has extended to include famous estates from around the world.

Marc D. Taub, Chairman and Managing Director of Esprit du Vin, says: “I am delighted that Christophe Salin, Managing Director of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), has chosen EDV as its strategic partner. We share the same vision and there are many synergies between the Pasternak and EDV portfolios.”

Christophe Salin, Managing Director of DBR (Lafite), says: “Like the Taub family, the Rothschild family has been deeply rooted in the sale of fine wines for generations. Our Chairman, Baron Eric de Rothschild, represents the fifth generation at the head of DBR (Lafite). We are confident that this collaboration will be fruitful.”
