Technical changes at Los Vascos

Claudio Naranjo and Marcello Gallardo, two emblematic figures of Los Vascos who have uncomparably developed the estate and its wines over the years have decided to move to another chapter in their life and professional career.

Under their leadership, Vina Los Vascos has become an iconic estate in Chile, whose wines and labels are known all around the world.

Claudio joined Baron Eric on this exceptional adventure exactly thirty years ago, betting on this incredible land and succeeding in the challenge of making Los Vascos shines. Claudio has very kindly agreed to join the Los Vascos board in 2021 so that we can continue to benefit from his very valuable experience.

Marcello leaves the group after 20 years on the estate as an oenologist. We thank him for his involvement in the development of the Los Vascos wines over the years.

We wish them both good luck in their future projects.

Regarding the technical organisation of Los Vascos, we are delighted to announce that Maximiliano Correa will take on the responsibility of Chief Winemaker. He is now responsible for the existing Los Vascos portfolio as well as for creating future new wines.

The rest of the team is made up of Raquel Calatayud in charge of the Quality Control, R&D and Sustainable Development, Sebastián Cruz in charge of the Production-Operations division and Enrique Marquez for the vineyard division and many other cultures.

Olivier Trégoat, who recently took over the technical direction of some of the group’s Châteaux, will maintain a technical consultant role for the teams.

We wish the new Los Vascos team every success.
